A more formal bio . .
Jennifer Adams Oppenheimer, MA, CCC-SLP
I am a speech-language pathologist with over 20 years of experience working with hundreds of children and adults and their families. I have worked as a clinician, a supervisor, and a clinical director for a large multi-disciplinary practice.
Passionate about working with infants, toddlers, and young children who are differently-abled and their families, I see parents as the key to the long-term, ongoing success of developing children. I also know that if parents of differently-abled children have strong skills and confidence in using those skills with their children, all family members benefit which leads to joy and happiness in family life.
I hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and am licensed as a speech-language pathologist by the California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board. I earned a Master of Arts in communicative disorders from California State University, Long Beach and a Bachelor of Science in audiology and speech-language pathology from Brigham Young University.
I have presented on a wide assortment of topics at various professional conferences, workshops, and parent organizations. I have supervised dozens of clinicians, clinical fellows, graduate interns, and student volunteers over my career. I love being engaged in clinical education; modeling and teaching clinical skills to fellow clinicians and student clinicians.
